Simple hominy

Simple hominy

  ingredients:

500 grs. of white hominy (white corn)
2 liters of cold water

Other Ingredients:

1 liter of cow's milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Sugar or 1 can (same as tin condensed milk)
1 pinch of salt
2 cinnamon sticks
5 cloves of India
5 slices of ginger

How to Prepare:

Rinse the hominy, soak the night, putting 12 hours in cold water then drain all the water.

Put the hominy in a common pot, add two quarts of cold water, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger slices, light the fire to cook until the grains are soft as well (check tightening the grain between fingers), with hand washed after disposal.

Once the grits are cooked through, turn off the heat, remove the spices (cinnamon sticks, cloves and ginger), add cow's milk with condensed milk and sugar.

Leave on low heat for thirty minutes or until the broth thick and very consistent.

For the broth becomes thicker, kneading a bit of hominy with the shore of a shell, or hit one-third of hominy, in blender.
Can serve hominy hot, warm or cold.

Neck icy grains become hard.

The hominy is a great food for those who are weak.
