Semolina Cake


Semolina Cake

ingredients:

2 kilo of semolina flour
800 grs. sugar
100 grs. butter
2 liters of milk
1 teaspoon shallow baking soda
Takes no yeast or chemical

coverage:

Whole almonds without the thick shell can substitute cashews or pistachios.

Syrup and thin:

2 liters of cold water
500 grs. sugar
1 piece of cinnamon stick
15 carnations
5 slices of ginger in the fi

Mix sugar with water, bring to the fire until it forms a light syrup, not stir the syrup while on fire.

How to Prepare the Dough:

Place in a bowl the semolina, sugar, butter and baking soda. Mix well, then go pouring cold milk to slightly up. the dough is uniform, ie mixed well.

Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle flour, pour the batter, spread it well.
Then tap the form multiple times over the sink, so that the dough is very sticky in the pan.
Cut slightly over the top, making the frames size candy you want, this candy is usually large, square 4 inches.

In each candy stick a whole almond or pistachio on top.

Once removed from the oven and still hot, put all the hot syrup over the top to completely fill the shape, almost overflowing stop overnight at rest in a cool, well capped.
