Rice With Dried Meat - Northeast Region of Brazil

ingredients:
2 cups of washed rice tea
4 cups of cold water or hot tea
  seasonings:
1 teaspoon (tsp) of shallow salt
1 spoon (soup) of corn oil
3 cloves garlic crushed without the central part, or
1 medium onion, grated, or both together
Other Ingredients:
500 grs. jerky desalted, cooked and shredded nonfat
2 large onions, grated
2 red bell peppers, chopped into strips or cubes
2 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded
1 pepper chopped lady's finger chopped seedless, or
1 spoon (soup) of hot pepper sauce, or to taste
2 tablespoons (soup) of corn oil
1 cup chopped parsley

How to Prepare the rice:
Place in a saucepan the water, garlic, oil, and salt, bring to the fire until it boils, pour the rice and stir to let the fire cooking on high heat, cooking halfway down the heat and leave the lid ajar, until rice is moist.
No need to fry the rice or spices.
Cover the pan place in oven off, or wrap well in newspaper. The above procedure is to finish the cooking and preserve the rice warm, it gets fluffy.

How to prepare dry meat:
Rinse the meat dry, soak with water, in the refrigerator changing the water several times.
Then throw the water out, make the wash.
Place the dried meat in the fire covered with water, let it cook until soften the meat.
After the meat cooked, shred.
Sauté beef jerky with the oil, add the tomatoes, onion salt, then sauté well, add the peppers, and let the heat for 5 minutes, or until almost dry, finally add the pepper. Book
After the dried meat ready mix with the rice, without broth. Sift not to get too liquid.
  How to Serve:

Put the rice in a way, tighten, turn on a platter.
Place around braised cabbage, and if you want you can put slices of fried sausage and boiled eggs.
Serve hot with a rich vegetable salad.
