SAFFRON:
Saffron comes from Europe.
Saffron are dried stamens of a flower (crocus sativus), have a very dark orange coloration and a strong aroma.

It is used worldwide in dishes of chicken, fish and other crustaceans mainly (paella) in Spain.

Do not confuse with turmeric which is a root.

TURMERIC
Turmeric is a root and ginger family, strong yellow color, a bit bitter taste, also known as saffron from India. It is sold in powder form and serves various dishes.

DO NOT CONFUSE CRYSTAL, WITH CROCUS, are two very different things. One is flower stamens the other is a root.
