Maria Mole I
ingredients:
12 sheets of white gelatin
250 ml of cold water
250 grs. freshly grated coconut
4 egg whites beaten stiff large firm
3 cups of sugar
1 tsp coconut essence (optional)
How to Prepare:
Wet the gelatin with cold water, let stand for fifteen minutes
Beat the egg whites until firm, then add sugar and coconut essence
Place the dissolved gelatin over the egg whites, beating well with
whisk, or electric mixer, put ten to fifteen minutes
Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle half of grated fresh coconut
Turns out maria-mole, cover with grated coconut
Bring to freeze put 6 to 10 hours
Before serving, cut into squares.
