MIXED Farofa - III Options
ingredients
Option I:
2 tablespoons (soup) of oil or lard
2 red chillies, chopped (optional)
2 large onions, grated
1 saucer cashews or Brazil nuts ground (opcinal)
1 saucer green olives chopped
1 cup (tea) of chopped parsley with stems
1 cup chopped green onions, thinly sliced
50 to 100 grs. chopped bacon, diced
150 grs. cooked sausage and ground beef, or pork cooked
300 grs. cooked chicken gizzards and ground
2 tea cups cornmeal or
1 cup (tea) of maize flour and
1 cup (tea) of cassava flour
2 boiled eggs chopped, well niggling
How to Prepare:
Fry the bacon in the oil bath or withdraw leaving the fat in the pan.
Fry onion peppers in bacon fat, add the cooked gizzards and sausage and ground, sauté well, put the olives cornmeal or both together, mix well be getting dry add a little water or oil.
If it is too wet add a little cornflour, then the cashew nuts and fried bacon.
Finally add the chopped parsley and chives.
II - Option:
Simple streusel:
2 tablespoons of corn oil
1 grated onion
50 grs. bacon diced
2 cups corn flour or tapioca flour, or half and half tea.
1 cup chopped parsley
½ cup thinly sliced scallions
1 deep dish of chopped cabbage thinly (optional)
½ cup chopped green olives s.
salt and pepper to taste
How to Prepare:
Fry bacon, remove put the onion, leave the fire until wilted, then the cabbage sauté for a few minutes, not leaving much time the fire it yellow, then the flour mix well chosen and follow the instructions above.
Finally parsley and scallions and olives.
III - Option:
Farofa Banana
ingredients:
1 large onion, grated
2 tablespoons (soup) of corn oil
2 tea cups of cornmeal
4 dwarf bananas sliced
2 boiled eggs chopped
1 cup (tea) of chopped parsley with stems
Salt and pepper to taste
Way Preparing Farofa.
Fry the onion in oil, add the bananas simmer, then add the cornmeal to give point
If it gets too dry add more oil or water.
Then add all the other ingredients.
